Re: Hurricane Irene? Finally heard from my SIL via email. They are fine but without electricity for at least a week or more. They do have a generator which will help some.
She also said that Foster, RI is also without electricity but my Aunt and Uncle are fine.
She said there are trees and limbs all over the roads there. -- TH ~ NE ~ EPN ~ NC ~ TD |

 Hurricane mess |
Incredible devastation. FEMA is coming to check it out. |

 | Domino, too much to clean up. I would "leave" it as is. |

Spork join:2011-07-13 Methuen, MA | reply to Dominokat That's how my driveway, deck, and yard look! I was hoping a tree would crash into the bow window. We were planning to replace the bow window shortly anyways but at $5,000 ourselves vs. $1,000 with insurance it would have been a good deal. Oooo well we're out $5,000 instead because the hurricane didn't help us out! *cry* |

 | The town of Foxboro (MA) is still mostly out going into this evening, though there are rumors that part of the town will get re-energized tonight by midnight.
Residents there have been upset that Gillette Stadium has power, while they don't. It just so happens that Gillette sources its electricity from two different feeds, and the other feed is fully functional as of last night. Some residents are crying foul, but the Krafts didn't pull any strings at National Grid to get power back. -- -Frosty, KA1FOX |

The residents are just using their downtime with no power poorly it seems. |

 | The board of selectmen met in Foxboro with Nat'l Grid and the Police Chief, and it was determined it's safe to allow the game to go on Thursday night.
As it stands, a lot more of the town got power back this afternoon. The last of my company's three buildings in town just came online about 5 P.M. today and will be open tomorrow. -- -Frosty, KA1FOX |
