| ISP needed in riverside. Hi Guys I just need some advice for an ISP for me in riverside ca.
Tried the SmartRiverside connection but keep getting disconnected in about 1-10 minutes. What other options are there for me? I cant get ATT unless I get a extra lanline due to recent changes at my house and power of attorney. Charter is expensive at 30.00 a month What about virgin mobile's usb device? It cost about 20.00 a month

$30 is expensive? That's going to be a heck of a lot more of a connection than a cell-based connection. Don't expect a good broadband connection without having to pay for it. If your options were more than $60/mo, I would expect to hear someone complain about the price. |

Extra phone line? For dial-up? DSL uses the existing phone line. The power of attorney is a new twist. |

Smart Riverside is garbage. AT&T DSL or DSL extreme will likely be your cheapest option...

Well I have heard that DSL starts at 15.00 a month, however the power of attorney for the house owner has said "No" to ATT DSL service added on to the phone bill. Then there is Dial up which may work if a person is not too picky about the service. Thats cheaper than Cable too. However, the phone service has some area codes blocked so maybe Dial up is out. |
