Re: Manditory Evactuations for Visitors - OC, MD, and DE Beaches

What a flop of a storm. I now have 4 big ass containers of water thanks to my wife.

Well, don't go pouring it down the drain just yet. It is always a good idea to have water on hand...other storms can happen, not to mention water main breaks. Not a bad idea, either, to keep a jug or 2 of water in the trunk, along with an emergency kit. Typically, sealed water is dated for a year or 2 out. Just remember to check and replace, along with your emergency food stash. You can use "expired" water for things like watering plants or dumping in the washer rather than right down the drain.

I was astonished to see at least 2 dozen of those big refrigerator-size containers empty in the recycling pickup area out back of my building yesterday. One gal came down with 2 more and bitched about having wasted her money buying them. I asked what she did with it "Oh, I poured it down the sink. I don't need this much water." When I told her she could have just drank it, or used it for coffee or cooking she said: "I never thought of that, but I don't cook, so it really doesn't matter." smh.

I hope she didn't procreate, and has no plans to do so in the future, for the sake of human kind.

You said 15 earlier. Where'd you get the '55' number?
Also, how did you ascertain their intelligence levels? "Failure to follow order" = "stupid"? Is that the metric used?

And one more: Where's the proof or citation/link/whatever that all 55 of these "stupid people" died only because of failing to heed an official evacuation order?

If you can't back up your proclamations with something that resembles a proof grounded in reality, it would be nice if you'd stop making them.
Thanks.

Did they follow the Evacuation order?one man got killed because of a tree fell on him during 60mph winds.there was a child that died because the parents wanted to ride the storm out.in that case the tree up rooted and crushed him.this was reported on the news am sure after it is said and done total dead will be 100.

Well, just so long as you're sure, then.

Like number 55 came from the news

Gee, thanks for providing that proof and other info I requested.

This thread got way off topic and was about OC MD and DE Beaches.

0 died in those areas.

The only injury I know of is I stubbed my toe while looking for my flashlight in the dark saturday night.
