Anyone have any information in the massive mid-Atlantic outage (Maryland/DC/Virginia) Speakeasy has had since about 2 PM Sunday 8/28/11?
Speakeasy hasn't updated their System Status page since yesterday's initial report ("We are currently experiencing connectivity issues in the Washington DC area.") The recording on the phone suggests calling back in an hour, but the recording hasn't been updated since 2 PM Sunday.
You can talk to a human being, but they have no idea other than it is probably in a central office somewhere. The last person I talked to was at Megapath and didn't even know there was a Speakeasy outage.
The area-wide outage mysteriously disappeared from the Speakeasy System Status page around 10:30 AM. They did a depro/repro on our circuit which brought us back online.
Apparently there was an outage that got resolved at some point, but Speakeasy never updated the status page (until this morning). Also, the fix involved having to reprovision our circuit.
