Portland, OR, 18 hour outage-why?

CenturyQwest seems to be having the hicups... The phone message that kept saying "we are aware of the problem" was very soothing, but what was the problem?
Is it going to happen again soon?

If it was 18 hours, it was probably equipment failure. 99% off all outages are no longer then 48 hrs. Then most of those are resolved in a few hours by a remote reboot.

But the only way to find out for sure what happen is to email TalkToUs@CenturyLink.com. And remember to send your account information along with that email.

Thank you! PM sent. They really need to get a less creepy outage message, the one they have now sounds more like the zombie apocalypse is in progress. Looking at the strange impossible to navigate website gives the same feeling...(sneaks off to correct forum quietly )
