 | The garden wall on a v90-327w15-06 I got the GF a cheap v90-327w15-06 Westell Verizon DSL modem off of E-Bay and I am trying to get it to work on Centurylink in WI.
I walked her through the basics like setting VC & VCI, PPOE, and passwords. It should work, except for the walled garden. I sent her to 192.168.1.1/verizon/redirect.htm, but the page says forbidden, contact Verizon. I'd welcome ideas on how to scale the wall.
I was talking her through it over the phone as I followed along in a Verizon manual, so it is possible that she/we would be missing something.
I also wouldn't mind flashing it and ditching the verizon firmware and replacing it with centurylink's or something a little less cryptic than the Verizon firmware. Is it possible?
I have set up a ton of Westell modems on the local DSL, bridged and otherwise. I figured I could snap up just about any Westell and make it happen. Lesson learnt. |

»Westell Equipment Forum FAQ »How can I deal with the Verizon walled garden? |
|
 | Yes, but there was no disable button. There was an Enable, but the click it on/click it off plan wouldn't work either. That brought up a call Verizon screen.
Right now my favored plan is to hunt down the CenturyTel firmware for it and flash it to the firmware that I know well. If the garden wall is not enabled it should connect but won't. Maybe it needs flashing anyway or is bricked.
Thank you for your reply and forum!
