I've been looking at this one for a few days, it's not very organized yet. But if it does organize it could be most anywhere on Gulf coast in less than a day. Currently it's at a 60% chance for formation, and is believed to be heading towards The New Orleans area.
NOTE: with a tropical system this disorganized, by the time it gets its act together, if it does, the strike zone may be totally different for what it currently predicted.
It's possible that this could come ashore as a strong tropical storm, but not likely that it will make it to hurricane status.
From the models you can see it's not well defined where it might go if it goes. I doubt Texas would mind a visit. |

| Tropical Storm Warnings Issued It could go like this, or not! | Looks a bit one sided for now |
From the NWS
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the coast of the northern Gulf of Mexico from Pascagoula Mississippi westward to Sabine Pass Texas.
Since the depression is in its formative stage the initial motion is highly uncertain. In fact...the center could reform within the large circulation during the next 12-24 hours. The depression is currently located to the south of a mid/upper level ridge over the central United States. The ridge is forecast to slide eastward and weaken during the next 2-3 days...leaving the cyclone in weak steering flow. The official forecast shows a slow northwestward motion during the next 24 hours...followed by a turn toward the north and northeast. The NHC track is in best agreement with the GFS and ECMWF models.
The depression is expected to move very slowly during the next 5 days prolonging the period of tropical storm conditions and heavy rainfall over portions of the northern Gulf Coast.
My add on stuff..
At 7PM invest 93, was upgraded to a tropical depression and expected to become a tropical storm that will have storm conditions on shore within 24 hours.
It's very poorly organized, when they are this weak it's primarily a rain event. It can be in this spot now and poof all of a sudden it's 200 miles away. In any case it looks like Southern Louisiana is going to get some rain. The storm is currently one sided, so most of the rain will be to the west (or Right) of the center. |

13 Shows no real signs of getting hit's act together as of yet. It's almost stationary. What is currently the center of circulation is completely uncovered. Looks like the dry air coming off of Texas is sucking any moisture out of the West side of the system. It has some good convection off to the East, who knows it might try to take a step to the right later today. |

| reply to SmokChsr Lee is still hanging out in pretty much the same place the west side is still open, though he has been able to get a greater percentage covered. Winds have now increased up to 60 MPH. Sitting almost still the area under her rain bands will get a whole bunch of water. So far it looks like the Southern Louisiana area have already seen up to 8 inches of rain. Another day or 2 of rain could be a problem. |

Lee's center is mostly on shore, and appears to be drifting Westward, with some rain just getting into Huston. Should the westward drift continue, I'm sure those in Texas won't be too upset. The only problem is, Lee was supposed to go East and push Katia away from the East coast.
Lee is causing rain from Huston all the way over into the Tallahassee Fl area. With a band of heavy showers soon to come on shore in Panama City Fl and surrounding areas. |

Remember where Lee was yesterday morning? That's pretty much where he is today. Lee is spreading his rain bands wider and wider. If you look at the storm history radar »maps.wunderground.com/tropical/t···dar.html It looks like Lee threw a tread overnight. He is supposed to continue off to the North East, so far he doesn't seem to know that. Winds are down a bit more this morning as the storm size expands. There might be a slight indication that the center has started moving back East, but no signs that it has started moving North. |

| reply to SmokChsr The St. Louis NWS Forecast Discussion have been mentioning a possible different track for Lee the last 2 days, here is today's AFD:
LOOKING INTO MID-LATE WEEK...IT IS LOOKING MORE AND MORE THAT THE TROF THAT WILL BE SWINGING THRU THE MS VALLEY TODAY AND TOMORROW WILL BE INSUFFICIENT TO SCOOP UP T.S. LEE FROM ITS MOORINGS OFF THE LOUISIANA COAST AND WILL INSTEAD CAPTURE IN A NO-MANS LAND BETWEEN TWO RIDGES...THE FIRST TO BE DOMINANT IS EXPECTED TO BE THE ERN ONE WHICH WILL GIVE LEE A PUSH N...THEN THE RIDGE OUT W WILL GET GOING AND BUILD INTO THE CANADIAN PRAIRIE PROVINCES AND GIVE LEE A NUDGE TO THE W. WHILE WE MAY SEE THE REMNANTS OF LEE AS EARLY AS THURSDAY...IT APPEARS FRIDAY-SATURDAY IS A BETTER TIMEFRAME AT THE MOMENT. THE RAIN FROM THIS SYSTEM...IF IT TRULY DOES MAKING UP HERE...WILL COME AS A WELCOME RELIEF FOR MOST PLACES. -- Ofallon, Mo Weather St. Peters, Mo Weather |

| reply to SmokChsr I guess Lee is done.. after he threw that tread Sunday morning, it knocked him so far out of balance that it threw him across Louisianan. He sat there for about 12 hours until the tread came back around again. At which point he lost rotation and fell apart as a tropical system.
There is still plenty of rain from him making it's way NE. Along with some strong bands still coming into Florida. Radar indicates I'll get some of that here in St. Augustine shortly. |

| reply to SmokChsr The remnants of Lee are dumping a lot of water through Pennsylvania and upper New York State. Binghamton has been spared up to now, but it looks like the flood walls for the river are about to be crested, and parts of the downtown core lie below the top of the wall:
