Front Street not unusual but to Green St and beyond unusual.... was torrential likely at high tide but also was gone in 20 min after the deluge stopped.... again maybe tide going out as well.
And actually this pic after rain stopped and was waning... was over the sidewalk and 6" water to out of sight of this frame, a few min before.
Didn't quite get in places here but at peak this is three blocks in land... and down the street (Front) near two foot. -- »haywardm.com (Hayward's Key West)

Glad it wasn't worse... Looks worse than it was in the 200 block, just covering side walk didn't really get in any where, but Front Street was near 2ft.
Unusual for it to get beyond Greene St. For just a short intense down pour from the edge of what is now TS Lee.
Must have been high tide, and waning full moon, now 5 days later Noticed just last Quarter
This pick was after rain stopped and it was receeding would have been watter as far as you could see, though doubt it made Caroline St. But was covered to Red Garter and beyond. -- »haywardm.com (Hayward's Key West)

1 edit | reply to Hayward Great shot! Glad to hear no (or very little) flood damage. Now please stop torturing us lushes, since we all know that there is way more liquid (booze) inside around there, than that water, outside, (when the streets are that empty of people, at least) ..... |

On;y because until this time it was torrentially pouring. Had intended to leave where I was but no one more.
But now even rep KW has far much more liquid out there on the street. -- »haywardm.com (Hayward's Key West)

So what happens to those businesses? Do they keep on going normally, as in they have methods in place to deal with the water on a regular basis? |

Yeah pretty much, but the ASSH*s in their big BS vehicle sending up a 1-2 ft wake wave can be a problem.
