Dropped connection with SB6120?

About 4 days ago, we upgraded our modem and router to an ASUS RT-N56U, and a Motorola SB6120. We also switched over to optimum (From Bresnan), and in the last 2 days, the connection to the internet gets dropped for 5 seconds every 30-45 min. (Which might not seem like a big deal, but when playing online games, it gets REALLY annoying.) I have tried updating the router to the latest firmware (1.0.1.4), which helped a little, but the issue still persists. Is this an issue with our equipment, or is it optimum? (The connection during the day is noticeably worse than during the night, which leads me to think that is not just our router/modem that are messing up.) Any help is appreciated, because I'm wondering if I should return either the router or the modem.

Have you tried eliminating the router and connecting the modem directly to one of your computers?
