| Add A "Copy Results To Clipboard" Link After a test has been run here: »/speedtest?flash=1
...a link appears at the top right of the Speed Test window, just to the right of "Speed Test Summary".
This link is labelled "Compare result @ dslreports.com".
Clicking on this link produces a page with two options:
RESULT AS GRAPHIC
RESULT AS TEXT
A link is provided for the graphic but not for the text.
Would it be possible to add a button under or near the "Compare result @ dslreports.com" link that would cause the results to be automatically copied to the user's computer's clipboard?
I ask that it be done on that Speed Test window as it would save the users from an extra click, bearing in mind that some are not particularly computer literate.
The reason for this request is that our own web site that monitors speeds using DSLReports.com must try to authenticate the results.
If the data that was automatically copied to the clipboard also included a link to the data recorded (in text form) at DSLReports, this authentication process would be made completely reliable.
Our users would simply perform the speed test, click on the new "Copy Results to Clipboard" button and paste everything into our web site results box.
I hope you can give this request some consideration. |
