Too bad this wont be feasible in Quebec as there are no 300GB plans for cable. Can't balance out bandwidth usage

We haven't tested the platform at those speeds, but if any consumer router can handle it, that's the one. Your next step up would be to run OpenWRT/MLPPP on the x86 platform.

I've run a couple of tests on the firmware with a 3700v2 if you need anything, send me a PM

Isn't the WNDR3700 on the ar71xx platform? If I'm confusing the terminology let me know, but wouldn't x86 be PC based router?

You are correct on both counts. That's why x86 would be a step up (more processing power and typically more RAM). Even a dual-core Atom box is pretty cheap these days and I don't think I've seen a recent computer sold that didn't have more than 64MB of RAM

Quick question for you... does the bonding of the two DSL lines require one of them to be either Acanac or Caneris?

Currently, Caneris requires both to be from Caneris.

I have 2 DSL Lines on OpenWRT/MLPPP from Acanac on their TP Link Router, works great. So it could be either one.

The WNR3700v2 (or perhaps all ar71xx devices) have an issue with the current version of OpenWRT/MLPPP that causes large packetloss between the router and the LAN when dealing with anything beyond a handful of connections (like BitTorrent), but not the router and the internet. Hopefully it's just a driver bug, and merging in a newer version of OpenWRT will resolve it.

Also good to know... I don't mind DD-WRT for now, it helps that its also actively supported by my VPN provider, but I find it (DD-WRT) pretty flakey... I've solved most of my issues but I'd like to be able to bond 2 25/7 lines...

Currently, Caneris requires both to be from Caneris.

for dsl, technically all it requires is one login from an isp who has mlppp enabled.
so, while you can say whatever policy you may have, just know it doesnt work that way.
also tsi, velcom, acanac all have mlppp enabled for dsl and this is nothing new, you do not need caneris' new service to bond just dsl.
the service is mainly for bonding dsl+cable or cable+cable or cable+ anything else that isnt dsl.

so, the correct answer to the question is no, for 2 dsl lines, all you need is one isp that supports mlppp. you could have bell fibe 25 and tsi 25/7 vdsl, and bond them together with the tsi login, no problem. however your cap would still be 300GB. if you bond 2 tsi 25/7 vdsl lines then they will bump the cap to 600GB.

And guess what happens to user accounts that violate our policies.. So, the correct answer in our case is "yes"

Except for Acanac MLPPP users right.

I think my post still stands, and is correct information for anyone wanting to use your firmware with another 2 dsl lines.
but its good to know your policy for mlppp dsl service.

For the record what I meant to ask was, is it possible to use this software with any provider as long as the provider(s) in question support MLPPP or does this software apply specifically to Caneris...

From the sounds of it, it's technically feasible to use this software on other MLPPP supporting providers other than Caneris.
