Current Office Infrastructure

Not the newest heard of servers but they were the right price and get the job done nicely. APC SUM3000 VA UPS with extended run packs and environmental network cards, HP DL580's, DL380 running VM ESX3.5 and multiple VMs, Homebrew file server, some HP bs box running my POS system, buffalo tech 1tb NAS backup.

Not pictured yet due to lack of neatness- Linksys RV042, HP V1910-24, HP V1910-24PWR, FiOS 35/35.

Also have Broadview Networks Hosted Office Suite FlexConnect IP-PBX... mixed feelings on this company at the moment.

Zorack, Thank you. Its a work in progress, I'll try to have more pics and the wires cleaned up within the month. I actually have the same view as you with some of the recent posts and had to post this before the project was completed.

XCOM, its actually a restaurant... chose this location as my mini data center because of its location, power, HVAC, and back up capabilities.

ESX 3.5 when do you plan on upgrading

Not in a rush to upgrade as 3.5 has worked flawlessly for me. Also the hardware pictured is 32bit thus I'm stuck with 3.5 (last version to support 32bit hardware).

I did just buy a new 64 bit box to play around with server 2008R2 as id like to migrate to windows 7 as well. that project is still in the staging and testing phase. pending on how that goes ill probably upgrade within the year.

When you do go to 2008 R2, put it on esxi 4.1 (or whatever's current when you deploy).. that way you can leverage the hardware more efficiently - a memory upgrade and enough disk space will allow you to run multiple servers (current and future) on the same hardware. But then, you already know this, running 3.5 on your current hardware.

Nice work. Cheers!
