I see that new customers pay $24 a month for a year, do they offer this price? If so what is the phone number for that department to ask.

If you are truly posting from Oakland, California, you are properly in AT&T West (Nevada and California), not AT&T Northeast (Connecticut). AT&T has been all over me, since last June, to get me back. I switched from AT&T to Sonic.net, LLC, because I qualified for their "Fusion" product. Just call them and tell them you got a better offer from another provider. And, no, I don't know the number to call. I left for a better mix of services at a better price.
