What speeds are you paying for? You seem to be having similar issues to what I have in Nebraska. If you are getting less than 60% of what you're paying for, you need to contact Windstream and have it figured out.

I am paying for 12mb down and .65 up. I only get 100 % service in the morning. When most people are not on the internet in my area. I live right next door to them and I typically run about 1-2mb. If you can land another ISP I would do that. I do not have the pleasure of doing this. Someone suggested that I have them exchange out my speed stream 4200 for a 4300. They are supposed to finally come out to my Casa in a few days and I am going to suggest this. They also checked out my connection and said I have a solid connect, but even I could have already of told them that.

I had a Speedstream 4200 for many years that worked good for me. When I started inquiring about higher speeds in my area, I was told that my Speedstream was not capable of more than 6mb download speeds. Apparently, new 4200's can handle more, but older ones cannot. I upgraded to the Sagem F@st unit they offer when I upgraded to wireless in my home and am extremely happy with it. Speeds seem more consistent (when the service works in my area) and I have never had any issues with it for WiFi. Hooking it up to my PS3 and LG Blu-Ray were a breeze.
After saying that, I doubt the Speedstream is the heart of your problem. When the tech comes out, they'll probably find a bigger issue that was impacting your whole neighborhood. I don't know specifics, but very few people will notice slower internet speeds unless they are using it for something like gaming or instant movie downloads. If it turns out to be a neighborhood issue, request an ETR. Call Windstream and request a prorated price reduction until the problem is corrected. If you can prove the slow speeds (which you have through your Speedtest results) they should give you a credit.
Good luck and make sure to post what the tech finds.

As of right now the tech never showed up. So, I have decided to call again, but most likely just go over there. On the bright side its midnight and of course I'm getting close to what I should be...

Here is another test just after midnight. I am posting this one just to show that I am able receive 12mb down. It is typically about this time til 10 am that I receive this speed. I am not necessarily dogging on Windstream all the time, but when you pay for a service; you expect to get it.
