Elgin, IL | Awstats links from Russian sites Looking at the "Links from an external page (other web sites except search engines)" part of Awstats for one of my web sites, I recently noticed that all but one of the genuine links for legitimate sites have been forced out of the list. Instead, the list of top referrers are all Russian sites.
As long as my pages do not link to these referrers, should I be concerned? (Other than the fact I can no longer get an accurate list of those legitimate sites I do want links from) |

kudos:6 | Chances are that most, if not all, are bogus. I see these sorts of things in my logs all the time, best I can tell it's nothing more that referer spam. Just an attempt to get you to visit their website. |
