<description><![CDATA[anon posted : I just spoke to a Shaw rep and I'd like confirmation about your online Video on Demand service (vod.shaw.ca)<br><br>If I don't want cable TV but do want cable Internet through Shaw.  With just Internet can I still use this service?  I have no use for 24/7 cable but being able to rent the occasional movie off of Shaw and stream it on my PC would be a plus.<br><br>The rep I spoke to said that in order to rent movies from vod.shaw.ca I must have cable.  Is this the case?  It seems really strange to restrict your Internet subscribers from renting and streaming movies to their PCs.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Connor M posted : well at first shaw told me it was impossible due to billing code, now im finding numerous users who were advertised incorrect upload speeds due to there area being upgraded for the phase 2 DNU upgrade, who's upgraded areas have not been activated on phase 2 yet, tho they are capable of it, this proves that shaw can change the billing code cause they weant in and changed upload to people who were suppost to be getting 3 (they were advertised 5, but the upgrade hasnt even been switched on), since the bb100 is available in my area, i dont know why i cant receive this upload bumpup on my account aswell]]></description>

I've also lost internet completely for an ~hour at a time the past couple nights.<br><br>As of right now, webpages take 20 seconds before anything shows up - when usually it's quite instant. Currently, I'm on the Sasktel High Speed Ultra which is unlimited 25Mbps.<br><br>I see residential services are able to get the Unlimited 100 package, but there is no unlimited package for business, only one with a 1 TB limit. The Cisco is a pretty good modem, but its router features kind of suck.   If you get shaw to put the router in Bridge mode, you can connect your own router to it.  Which is awesome.<br><br>The Cisco when run in Bridge mode is an excellent modem.  It's a bit lacking if you run it as an all in once device.]]></description>
