I have my 2Wire in bridge mode with a dlink router. Mine has been doing this on an increasingly persistent basis for the last month. Yesterday I changed my dsl filter AND left my phone unhooked up (use email more than voice anyway). I have since had one drop in the last 12 hours and experiencing normal speeds.

| Thanks for the response. I am wondering if it's a modem issue or the AT&T DSL connection issue? I don't want to go out and buy another wireless dsl modem to find that it's an AT&T network problem. Ideas?

| The only thing plugged into any phone line is the DSL modem.
This problem started about a month ago. On my first call to AT&T support, they said there was an outage.
AT&T is sending someone out here tomorrow. We'll see.

Exactly.
For what it's worth; I exhaust everything I can do on my end before calling my ISP. Until I can get to the point of having a service tech come out to my house it is a lesson in futility. In their defense however, my problems have been mostly of the configuration variety and ultimately corrected by me. |

Ray,
You might try re-posting this on your specific provider forum. I'm here in California so I would post this on the AT&T West forum. They have 2 guys that are expert in how DSL should work, look at the data you originally posted and tell whether you have a line issue. At least this way you can rule out one before looking more closely at your equipment. |
