ubee DOCSIS 3.0 Compliant (router) drops VPN connection

Using AT&T Network Client, connection gets dropped intermittently. Sometimes it works for a minute, and others for hours. Not sure if it is a configuration issue with the client or a router issue. Problem just surfaced in the past 2 weeks, no network upgrades or changes (firmware) or anything additional installed on computer with said Network Client.
error messages include:
--Disconnected after 1:07:30 (RAS error 0, login error 118).
--VPN connect attempt failed (error 118 '!Error 118 No response from VPN endpoint during authentication. This can occur if IP Protocol 50(IPSec ESP) or UDP protocol 4500 is blocked by a firewall or IPSec passthrough is not enabled on your home router.').
--VPN connect attempt failed (error 229 'The connection timed out waiting for the VPN server to respond. This can occur if your computer is behind a firewall that does not permit UDP or IPSec traffic. Contact your local network administrator for assistance. (229)').
--A VPN status message was received: '!Error 227 Missed heartbeat with VPN server. Server appears t
o be down.'.
--!Error 227 Missed heartbeat with VPN server. Server appears to be down. (118)

Thanks in advance

Any corresponding logs from the other end? Based on the logfile you provided, it couldn't reach the
other end and terminated the connection.

I see that your location is listed as Bastrop. Is either end of the affected network in or near Bastrop? If so, then there is a good chance that some telco wires and/or switching equipment somewhere along the way was damaged in the wildfires there. Since the problem seems to coincide with about the time that the fires started, I would suggest to first contact AT&T.

It appears the problem has been found. This UBEE router does not play nice with the AT&T vpn client. AT&T confirmed that said client has known issues with other routers/modems, (cisco). This brand of router may make the list of known problematic routers. I tested this theory by attaching PC to another router/modem at neighbors house, worked flawlessly, AND reconnected my old modem (Webstar - Scientific-Atlantic), also is working with no drops.
