NewWave and DOCSIS 3.0 (v2?)

Wow, this forum is dead. Supposedly Carlinville (Taylorville) is getting DOCSIS 3.0 this week (today?). If anybody gets to test, lets compare notes here.

Update:
Have not made any phone calls yet but did post to the official twitter account @newwaveinsider and awaiting response. I checked my modem status page and the upstream channel is showing a Mixed (TDMA and ATDMA) which is a definite change from when I looked last week.

At any rate will be keeping this thread updated with speedtest results

Just got off of Live chat w/ their Tech support and here is a log....

web_associate_3 : Thank you for contacting NewWave Communications home of the fastest internet, my name is Kenny. How can I help you today?
I said: Good morning
I said: The question I have today is this.. has the DOCSIS 3.0 gone live in the Carlinville, IL area
web_associate_3: No, we have not been informed of that.
I said: and if so can I take my DOCSIS 2.0 modem to the litchfiled store and recieve a DOCSIS 3.0 compliant replacement
web_associate_3: No the offices are not equipped to switch out equipment, but we could set up an appointment to do so.
I said: Well if you have any information It would be appreciated. I know it is being deployed throughout New Waves footprint but any timetable for when?
web_associate_3: No timetable but it is being worked on.
web_associate_3: Once it's been implemented and fully tested, they'll let us know
I said: I know there was an update last night w/ the current modem as the upstream channel type was changed from just TDMA to a Mixed (TDMA and ATDMA)
web_associate_3: We at the contact center would not have been informed of anything until it's completely ready.
I said: and from my networking experience that is the first indication that the customers are being turned on to DOCSIS 3.0
web_associate_3: It must be getting quite close

And I preceded to Thank him and closed the live chat window. As the above log will show.. Their Support center don't know what is going on at the local offices which is bad for us as customers. I really don't want to put them down but I have no other choice sometimes. Since they have have preceded to build out/buy out their overall footprint and lag behind in upgrading their current longtime customer footprint.. I have my doubts as a customer if they will even inform us.

Guess that means we as customers who either read this forum and/or post will be the only way we will know that DOCSIS 3.0 gets fully deployed.

They are in "testing" phase now. I don't know what the timetable is for official rollout, but testing is live.
