2wire 2701hg-b bridge mode

with a dlink DIR 655 router. Is there a way to see the 2Wire UI without disrupting my current setup? Thanks in advance.

The 2wire ip address is 69.234.192.134.

The dlink ip address is 192.168.0.1 and I am not using any dlink software.

Here's one way to make the changes needed to access your bridged 2wire

Make certain that you end the current pppoe session before you do anything else

Change the lan ip address of the 2wire to 192.168.0.254
After that is done in addition to connecting a ethernet cable to the routers internet port and modems lan port connect another ethernet cable to the routers lan port and modems lan port

Thanks for the response wayjac. Maybe I should backup and tell you what I'm trying to do.

I would like to post the necessary data listed in the FAQ's so the experts here can tell me whether my line is the problem in my frequent dsl disconnects. Can this be done through the dlink UI?

The way you have the router and modem currently setup you cannot access the 2wire ui

Using my suggestion will allow easy access to the 2wire ui with any computer connected to the dlink router
