Another Speakeasy Customer lost to FIOS
My Speakeasy DSL has been terrific for the most part. Their support and network have been pretty darn good. No complaints.
But I figured out how I can get by without a static IP, and their cost to performance ratio simply has not improved at all over the many years I've been a customer.
Technically, I'm still a customer as they were able to switch me over to email only service - and it's going to take a good long time to get transitioned off my @speakeasy.net address.
They have some great folk up in Seattle who took care of their network and customers all these years. I hope the merger wasn't too bloody, but I fear it was.
