DISA/Callback from a payphone (via voip.ms).Is it possible ?

Hi,

I was wondering if I it's possible to setup my VOIP.MS account to be able to use DISA (or Callback) feature from a payphone.
Thanks!

Hi Memorex:

I guess it is possible if you call from the same payphone all the time. (Though I'm not sure if the number of a payphone is sent through the caller id display system.)

To use DISA the way I have it set up one needs to enter a Caller-ID Number (setup under the DISA tab of "DID Numbers") so that when a match occurs the system knows to ask for a password (which you also setup).

Once the correct password is given then the system asks for the number you would like to connect to.

Also, please note many (most?) pay phones these days cannot receive incoming calls.

I would use IVR.

Make a simple menu "1 for ring, 2, for voicemail, 3 for DISA" for any incoming calls.

When you choose "3", a 4 digits code will be asked.

You don't have to say "3 for DISA" in your message.

Better yet... get yourself another DID just for that feature. $1 a month feature that will save you a lot. When you call this number, it goes directly to DISA.

I like to use a toll-free DID plus DISA for this purpose.
