 | North Ave.... ughhh Title says it all. West of 355 is 1 lane each direction. Not enjoyable. I fortunately have a bypass but still, it's going to be hell for anyone driving on it who has to take it. -- The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. CPL:IA;ASEL/AMEL. | Butterfield Road.....ughhh One lane from Naperville Rd to Rt 59, 35 mph, $375 minimum fine and you have to go court where the judge will be none too happy. If the judge doesn't like your looks its $500, say something smart-alecky and its $1000 and a few days in the pokey. Hit a worker and you'll be serving time in Joliet. I've seen two cars stopped by police in covered wrappers. |

| Butterfield was already only one lane in each direction there. Now there's just a bunch of cones up to confuse people and slow them down.
The one-laning of Route 59 and Naperville Road at the Butterfield construction (albeit temporary) is far more severe. The delays are awful. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |

I've been making daily treks between Wheaton and Joliet and have had difficulty in finding a suitable route. 355->88->59 is fine, its just how to connect from house to highway.
Roosevelt is also under some single lane operations, although not quite as severe. -- The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. CPL:IA;ASEL/AMEL. CFI:ASE/AME; IA |

 | I was going to try Winfield next actually and see how that goes. As long as I do not travel between 4 and 6 pm, as long as I can make it on 355/88 its pretty easy drive, usually 30 minutes. If I take the wrong way or go at 5pm (or both...) it can take an hour and a half. -- The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. CPL:IA;ASEL/AMEL. CFI:ASE/AME; IA |
