Is the Widmer Brothers brewery worth going to? (for those who have been there)
I'll be there the 2nd weekend (Thursday night through Sunday) in January and staying somewhere downtown. Flying in, no car.
Thanks! -- My Blog 2.2 |

| Are you only free on weekends? cause your newyears trip to Seattle and a slow drive home would be more efficient then the back and forth. (unless it different friends). Portland has better light rail and (maybe) a better in city bus system (bring/rent a bike then you can go anywhere)
Long ago Jake's crawfish house more current VooDoo donuts (if your heart can take it) the portland river front parks Gizy's house |

Of course we haven't seen Timmay/pinky for quite awhile. |

Public transportation is pretty decent, you can take the Maxline (lightrail) from the airport to downtown. For me, honestly, if I were coming in for 4 days, I'd get a rental car and have a little more freedom on transportation.
Tshirt is right. VooDoo is something every tourist should see. Bring an umbrella and expect to get wet - it rains from November until April.
Also, Portland is a pretty big area. Where are you planning to stay? -- Home of the free, because of the brave. Any Soldier Dog Tags for Kids My Pictures

 | reply to Gbcue There are a number of excellent food cart pods in downtown that are worth a try. |

Also, Portland is a pretty big area. Where are you planning to stay? I like to do the touristy things, I'm not there long so there isn't anything big that can be done. I want to avoid renting a car since I don't want it... Planning to stay somewhere in downtown Portland. I'll be there for a conference so maybe some things to do at night?
