Noticed today near pittsburgh st park (Triangle park) or whatever the locals call it. I moved here little over two years ago so still somewhat new. But asked one of the guys that are working on the street if they were putting in Fiber Drops and he stated yes for further use but i was stupid and did not ask which company. Seems there is going to be faster services offered maybe by Armstrong since FIOS is not even close to being near here or larger areas around here. Just giving the heads up and also asking if anyone knows more than I do.

I am up in Franklin Twp (just west of Butler), and when we had some of the Armstrong service folks out for a downed line last spring, they mentioned that Armstrong was going to fiber. But he also indicated that they were going after the larger, more affluent neighborhoods first (read: Cranberry and Seven Fields?), and that it would be a quite a while before they got around to the more rural areas like where I live.

Not sure about Scottsdale.

Armstrong is using Docsis 3 in some areas so the speeds are getting up there. I believe they are only running fiber to the node, i dont think we will see fiber to the house like verizon
