Scarlett & London issuesHello folks,
We've received an update from Rogers that the Packet Loss issue & Core Link issue should of been resolved.
In the likely hood that you don't see immediate results, please note that there is always a bit of balancing on the POI's that need to occur which may take a day or two.
Please feel free to provide feedback with your issues & results. To save time & troubleshooting, we ask that you Power Cycle modem & test from modem to a PC.
Thanks to all who have shown patience regarding this troublesome time.
EDIT : I also would like to add that the ticket itself is not closed yet. Rogers has asked that we watch during peak time & let them know if the issue persists.

Thanks for the update! We shall be sure to test this evening and over the weekend, hopefully all is good!
Dod you happen to know if they did any actual upgrade? Or did they just adjust or fix current equipment? (in london) |

Most excellent. I'll have a go at it tonight. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to watch some hilarious cat .gifs without having to let them load for 20 minutes first! |

Is something going to jump out of the box??" Now I can finally find out! |

After around 10 minutes I could load the website that had thumbnails of the cat .gifs. If I clicked on a cat gif, I'd get a blank page or a still picture. Rogers could be throttling cat .gifs too though. |

Things seemed better in London last night. I'll be sure to power cycle my modem when I get home from the lake. |

So far so good, I'm on a Docsis 2.0 modem so I max out around 15-16 Mbps

[att=1] Pretty sure your Docsis 2.0 is good for up to 30Mbps. |

18/1 at 6:20 when things are usually at around the 4mbps range
Looks like things are where they should be. Thanks for getting this resolved. |

Looking good so far. The slow speed/packet loss typically begins after 6:00pm. |

[att=1] Pretty sure your Docsis 2.0 is good for up to 30Mbps. Thats its maximum speed on a completely unused single channel. (DOCSIS only uses 1 channel which have a maximum of 38Mbit total bandwidth available shared amongst all users also on the same channel, where D3 can bond multiple channels together - currently Rogers bonds 4 channels for D3 modems) Rogers should never have upgraded the D2 modems beyond 10Mbit IMHO. The extra load placed on single channels by the higher speed has too much impact on the others sharing the same channel/bandwidth. -- SS |

18/1 as well here in London. Usually at 1mbps or less. Earlier in the day I was hitting 30mbps. I expected the extra load to lower the speeds but 18 is fine with me. THANK YOU! |
