Westell 7500 access issue

I recently had Frontier install dsl in my office for use on a pc that will be used by a group of different folks. They set it all up and it seems to be working good, today I decided I would enable wireless (westell 7500) so that I could use it on my mobile device.

I was a little puzzled that I could access the router (192.168.1.1) without having to enter a username and password. I went through the settings and changed the default username and password saved the setting, restarted pc (cleared all cache etc) and still no username or password required when i access 192.168.1.1

This mean any one on my team can change the setting as well as see wireless password.

Am I missing something?

Once you login there is a time out period before the current login expires

This is true but your teammates already know the needed details to access the network

After a little reading I think I can take this old Linksys wireless router in and bridge them, and because the Linksys is password protected it should fix the problem.

Correct?
