 | AdNauseum ARP who-has requests got a verizon westell 7500 modem/router. Can someone tell me how to stop these requests? My mask is 255.255.255.252. I have turned off dhcp. Yet they keep on coming.

 | how about just slowing it down - like a scan every 10 min Even so, the net mask suggests that there only 2 possible addresses on the network.. It continues to who-has for 256 addresses.
There is just no pause. |

Are you sure the westell arps the entire subnet......I think it just uses arp for any dhcp client that has obtained a lease |

 | I'm not sure what the net is? if I set a /31 mask, it still believes it is on a /24 mask. There are only 2 computers in that network ( 192.168.1.1, and 192.168.1.2 ). It tries all ip addresses in 192.168.1/24
Thanks for the pointer to the button. |
