Based on my motherboard, there seems to be a seperate 6pin connector specificed to provide power to graphics card.
Currently I have two PCIE connectors plugged directly into the videocards.
I also have the +12V 8pin connector going direct from PSU to Mobo.
Thoughts? Mods if you think this should go into Hardware problems, please move. |

Okay the 8pin is CPU power, the PCI-E connectors are to power the cards... however, each card can draw 75watts (or more if out of spec...) from the slots... I would try to plug in the 6 pin I guess MSI is using (most use a molex) to give more power to the pci slots...
See if that helps your crashing... but also run everything at stock... you could have an unstable OC... just because it passes some stress tests does not mean EVERY last test will be stable.
TLDR or whatever... Stock clocks Plug in 6pin to mobo (can use molex to 6pin adaptor if needed) |
