Fibe 25 - Did Bell quietly increase their caps?

I noticed ads in my local paper stating that Fibe 25 includes 125GB of usage. I have 75GB included (plus 2 x 40GB for which I pay $10 extra). Their site also lists the usage as being at 125GB however when I check the usage page of my account, it still shows 75GB basic (plus the extra 80GB). Should this be included for exisiting subscribers? Perhaps it takes effect at next billing cycle?

Hmm... so now Fibe 25 has a higher cap in Ontario than in Quebec. Strangely enough, the Quebec site says that Essential Plus now has a 2GB cap, but I think that's a typo because the page says $33.95 and 5GB and $36.95 and 2GB in different places.

Well, I looked at the offer in more details and it appears like it's only for new subscribers in areas covered by Rogers. So, if having separate rates by province wasn't enough, now we have different rates based on the neighborhood. I will need to call them to adjust this.

Subscribe to Bell Fibe™ Internet and get way more than the cable company for a lot less.

Get super-fast download speeds of up to 25 Mbps - more than double the 12 Mbps on cable.
Watch way more stuff online with 125 GB of usage - more than double the 60 GB on cable.
Plus, share pics and videos more than 12x faster than cable, with upload speeds of up to 7 Mbps.
All this for less than the regular rate you're paying with cable's 12 Mbps service.1

1-2 See full offer details
Offer ends October 31, 2011. Available to residential customers in select areas of Rogers' footprint in Ontario where technology permits. Modem rental required; one-time modem rental fee waived for new customers. Usage 125 GB/month; $1.00/additional GB. Subject to change without notice and not combinable with any other offers. Taxes extra. Other conditions apply.

(1) Current as of Sept 29, 2011. Based on customer's subscription to Rogers' Express Internet package at the regular rate of $46.99/mo., prior to August 4, 2011.

(2) Available to new customers who subscribe to Fibe 25 Internet and at least one other select service in the Bundle; see bell.ca/bellbundle. Promotional $33.48 monthly price: $76.95 monthly price, less the $5 Bundle discount, less the monthly credit of $38.47 applicable for months 1-12. Total monthly price after 12 months is $71.95 in the Bundle.

It's been 2GB for Essential Plus for years in Ontario. Could be posting the wrong info to the Quebec site, or could be bringing it in line.

It says 125 GB on their website. Doesn't mention anything about having to live within the Rogers footprint.

Never mind, didn't look closely enough.

Funny how they're comparing their $76.95 Tier with Rogers $46.99 tier.

Thanks for letting me know i would not have checked about this. I just got Fibe 25 3 weeks ago. I called the retention department today and they redid my 50% off promotion and it came with the 125 gbs bandwidth. It does not change from 75 gbs to 125 gbs on its on. Call in they will change it but it is official.

Did you call retention or was the regular Customer Service agent able to make the change?

i called regular first who said he could do nothing because it was a retentions deal in the first place. So retentions didnt know about this but looked into it as its a brand new promotion. They have to do redo the promotion for you, jsut make sure you confirm everything obviously. IT was hassle free in fact i also got a phone credit for the next month for free. Im pleased and the lady was nice, not like some.

What an amazing deal! For 77$ you now have the ability to fully utilize your connection for about 11 hours before you hit the new cap! Thats a huge 4 hour increase!

Actually with the new promotions. Im now paying 43 dollars after tax for Fibe 25 with 205 gigs. Seems good to me.
