 | Constant disconnect issues and downtimes lasting hours Anyone else getting constantly disconnected and getting hour long downtimes on there internet, I know I'm not the only one as my friend who lives on the other side of the Shaw region in Hamilton had the same downtime times and is getting pretty upset that he can't play his games when he wants due to disconnect issues.
I myself am also getting frustrated as I am on the SPP which is suppose to provide the Broad Band 50 mbit internet and I am still getting the same old 5mb service.
If a Shaw Hamilton Rep can please leave a contact number here for a local number ( not the 4h wait for someone from another country ) to call or at least give a modem test to get my payed for service, the occasional disconnect I can live with, not getting the advertised speeds is another.
And another question. These disconnects part of Router upgrades in the area to add bandwidth to the service? |

1 edit | What time of day are you getting these speeds? I am on the BroadBand 100 plan and I get about 50Mbit between 3pm-12am, but aside from those hours I get the full 100mbit. What modem did Shaw give you with your SPP? |

4 hour wait for tech support. |

 | Recently my speed dropped to 0.5-0.8Mbps. Paying 50$/month and getting dialup speed... Shaw is a joke, never had those problems with Mountaincable. They certainly know that there are not too many alternatives in Hamilton and take advantage of it. |

 | reply to Edger I'm on the Extreme package and the speed is so inconsistent. I seem to get 8mbps on average but even now after 12am, I'm getting 5mbps. Pretty pathetic actually. |
