While I understand the economics, it makes me sad that we have to buy access to the parks we already paid for (and continue to pay MOST of the continuing costs) through taxes.  |

| reply to aurgathor Its sad the DOL still automatically includes the $5 state park fee on the tab renewals. This gets the old people the most, a lot don't know they can deduct that 'fee', it also gets the people who's primary language isn't English.
The Discover pass is per car, another shame. The state government reps are looking into this, as they didn't know that would be the case when they voted for the fee.
When renewing online, BOTH the $5 fee AND the discover passes are 'checked' by default. It takes effort to not pay/buy these.
