 | reply to andyross I don't really understand all the hoopla over the Chick-Fil-A sandwich either. It's OK, but I wouldn't write home about it. Chick-Fil-A, Hardees, Waffle House, and Jack-In-The-Box are very common in the South, did you grow up on them down there someplace, DJDanska? CFA has a very devoted following in the Bible Belt, apparently the owner of the chain is a big time thumper and closes the restaurants up on Sundays, etc. I've heard of them passing out Bible propaganda to the kiddies with their meals.
I do like Culver's though. They make a nice walleye sandwich. Usually you have to ask for it, but they normally can accommodate the request. I also like that you can get some other side dishes with your meal besides fries. Portillo's is usually a pretty solid choice for dogs, beefs, etc. Their ribs are decent too, if you like the Chicago-style ribs. My favorite Polish is Wolfie's on Peterson. -- What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about? |

Yup, down near Brandon/Tampa FL. And your right about the bible thumping. Works for some but being gay and all, it's generally frowned upon for me to eat there. I stopped by there when it opened up and remembered what it was. A piece of chicken on bread. It's like Chinese food. your just hungry again in an hour. -- The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult.
