i joke, but i love the TSI guys and i just hope i can find a way to stick with 'em even though Dupont and my node both suck
i'm actually hoping that Rogers realizes how f'd up Dupont is and is trying to fix other stuff before they do the other upgrades, that's why we're not getting an answer
(fingers crossed) |
|
 | wow jibby you are like going through the 12 steps program of internet issues and sounds like your on acceptance now lol. Just a week or two ago it was still anger, now its all hopeful and positive. |

Just a week or two ago it was still anger, now its all hopeful and positive. heh i go back and forth, but i still think that when TSI works, they're the best value out there, and dealing with them is a lot easier than dealing with the Rogers/Bell monkeys.
so i try to stay hopeful that it'll get fixed, and it's still awesome at like, 4am so i can still get my... linux iso fix
otherwise for gaming or voip i'm using another connection already so i'm not so caught up in the 'ARGH I JUST LAGGED OUT OF A GAME' or 'DAMMIT MY VOIP GARBLED' thing, so its a lot easier to take a step back and see things for what they are. |

| 1) They've said nothing, and even if they did all they can do is relay what Rogers says, and Rogers lies constantly.
2) The upgrade will get done when it gets done. Rogers has no incentive to do it quickly.
3) Even when it gets done it won't solve all the nightly congestion because a lot of it is at the local node level. That can only get fixed by Rogers improving their infrastructure, and we all know how eager Rogers is to do that.
In other words: This is probably not getting fixed any time soon. |

 | reply to Merovingian By the way, I've just checked they subscribe new customers for Dupont POI Unbelievable ... greedy $#%^$# |
|
 | They weren't as of yesterday. Friends tried to sign up and were told no. Dupont stop-sell is still on according to everything I've seen...who says otherwise? |
|
 | I've checked their website. Service is available for my postal code |
|
 | Just put mine in (I'm on Dupont) and got:
"Due to explosive growth we are currently not signing up new customers for your area. If you would like an email notification sent when it is available please click here." |
|
 | reply to Merovingian Try M6B3H3 "Congratulations, the desired service appears to be available." |
|
 | Weird...though that postal code is geographically supposed to be on York Mills, maybe it's just a database error. |

You should refrain from saying that Rogers lies, its against the Teksavvy AUP. |

I actually finally left Rogers precisely because they lie about their throttling policies (which they are required by law to disclose accurately). |
