[COLORADO] Anyone taken E470 lately?

First of all, the speed limit is now 75mph, awesome.

Anyway, a while back I made a thread on how to bypass the toll cameras on E470...I stopped doing that because I make way to much money to care about $6 for a toll, but I digress.

My question is, has anyone driven on the road since August? I have several times and have yet to receive a bill in the mail. This worries me because of their crazy late fees and it could cause difficulties for myself if i get pulled over in Colorado (I tend to speed).

I know it takes about a month from toll use to bill in mail, but I was on the road in August and mid-September, and have not heard a thing.

Just curious if anyone has had a similar experience.

I have, but I didnt have a visible license plate, just one taped to the inside of a tinted window. Hell of a road, though.

Please contact the EXpressToll Service Center at 303-537-3470 or if you are out of the Denver area, call 1-888-946-3470. You can make payments over the phone or go to www.e-470.com to pay statements or individual tolls.

I always avoided it just because. I didn't realize they had the ability to auto-bill me if I used it. Or I might have. In any case, it would've only saved me a few minutes in getting to and from the airport on my way to/from the springs...And besides, I kinda liked cruising by Aurora and Cherry Creek where I spent a few years of my youth growing up.

Well, my only other option is 25 to 270 to 70, which only adds about 20 miles, but the traffic difference is amazing and I have sat on 25 many times. It isn't worth it anymore to save $6. Usually going home from the airport I take the long way, since I have no time crunch.

Per the anon, I think I will call the number.

Just get an EXpress Toll unit. They don't cost anything and they get you a 20% discount on the tolls. I use mine all the time to drive from COS to DIA.

I've thought about it, and I may get one sometime. Anyway, I called express toll and I pretty much jumped the gun. Bill will be coming soon.

Curious, why do you fly out of DIA instead of COS?

Because that's where my boss pays for me to fly out of. A lot of the time the flights are much cheaper out of DEN than COS.

And, when I'm paying for it myself, Southwest only flies out of DEN, not COS...

Excellent reasons, both of them I almost always fly out of COS because the long term parking is soooo much cheaper - when you factor in gas (3hrs round trip from Pueblo to DIA) and convenience it's 'usually' worth the extra $30-50
