kudos:4 | Security Product Vendors forum? Why is Security Product Vendors forum on the All forums page listed under:

Forums for use by Broadband Service Providers. ??
It is a forum used by Security forum members to post product updates and discussion of those updates. It is listed in one of the tabs at the top of the main Security forum as a SUB SECURITY FORUM.
So, how come it is NOT listed on the All Forums page under Security? Search doesn't even find it if you type in "security vendors" which is what I thought the name was ...not
security product vendors". It's a Security subforum and should be listed as such. At the very least, it should be listed in both places.

kudos:4 | I wasn't sure where to put it. I reasoned that I need help since the forum is listed in an odd place on the all forum's page and search for "security vendors" on that page doesn't find this forum. Plus, a new member here would likely have a problem finding that forum if they were not on the Security forum's main page where it is listed as a subforum. I recall Justin saying the All Forums page is designed mostly for newbies here and old timers should be using a Favorites list instead. Seems to me that "product" shouldn't be required for the search to find the forum. If I am in the Security forum on its main page then I can just click on Vendors at the top as it is listed there as a subforum but I wasn't on Security forum and I wanted to go to Security Vendors directly so I went to All Forums page and couldn't find it because I didn't included "product" in the search and then when I looked at the forums listed under Security it wasn't there.
Anyhow, yes, maybe it should be moved to Site Feature Requests...but Justin isn't around so will that be helpful or will the suggestion just sit for a long time and not be acted on? Originally, the Security Vendors forum was intended to be a forum for security vendors to discuss among themselves, and with users, various security products. I made the second post in the forum when it had just been created so I have watched, read, and posted in that forum from the beginning. It never panned out as intended but the original intent is probably why it ended up categorized on the All Forums page as it is currently listed. Since it never turned into the sort of forum originally envisioned, and has now (since the shutdown of the daily security programs updates sticky thread) become even more a forum for posting updates to security products, I think its listing on the
All Forums page should be changed to Security category.
