Re: Got a hold of new BEFSR11/41 Firmware I noticed a couple of things after applying the new firmware:
1) UPNP was turned back on (I had it off) 2) PPTP passthru was turned off (I had it on)
Also:
1)Tracert works now. 2)The built-in web server is still as slow as the last version. 3) UPNP still seems flaky -- Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it. |

I believe that is because both are turned on by default in the firmware, so, it's not keeping your settings. |

Lazarus... check your browser settings and see if you have a Proxy specified. If you do, uncheck it and see if that fixes your "speed" issue.
In IE it's at Tools / Internet Options / Connections Tab, LAN Settings button. -- Have you tweaked your OOL connection? |

you mean that access page? 192.168.1.1? |

 | reply to GeekNJ Lazarus... check your browser settings and see if you have a Proxy specified. If you do, uncheck it and see if that fixes your "speed" issue. There's a better way to do this. Just specify in the advanced options tab that you want to exclude 192.168.1.* for proxy server access
