DominokatHiPremium join:2002-08-06 Boothbay, ME kudos:2 | "Closed for the Season!" Boothbay Harbor is officially "CLOSED" for the winter. Well, not officially, but it should be since everything is now closed or closing this weekend. Come at your own risk! |

 | Re: "Closed for the Season!" Parts of Cape Cod are closed, my Little Slice of Hell Heaven included. Monday was my last night. Tuesday we put up the "Closed for the Season, See You in the Spring!" sign. The few full-time employees all put in one screw. On cue, some guy pulls up and asks "Do you have any rooms?". It never fails.
Not a bad season; great weather and close to full booking with the Irene Exception. Even better, no cops, ambulance or fire department calls. Some decent fishing but no keeper stripers for me. |

We electrify our signs too. |

 | reply to Dominokat So we all pool our money into a $45k bar OR a $950k hotel and spiral our way to insolvency in the tropics!

The DR is a shit-hole that looks great in February. |

 | reply to Dominokat 3 of us go every week. Different days. Spend an hour or two. Not gonna bitch. 4 hours pay.
The building is still there. So is the beach. The alarm still calls me. I wish I loved the place. |
