When it comes to storms and snow I'm a pessimist. Even though a lot of Massachusetts had record snows last year, at my house in centerville we had below average snow reaching 23.5 inches last year. I voted cold but not much snow:)

I remember up here have a 'cold' but less snow winter. I think we had a snow in January and that was it until March, but the snow itself lasted until March because it never got above freezing that whole time. It was still good for the ski resorts as they can make their own snow, and it needs to be cold for that.

I'm hoping for "Cold not much snow" but I bought a brand new Arien's snow blower recently in prep for winter. I'd like to test it out a few times this year but other then that a warmer winter would be fine by me. Anything to save on the heating oil costs!

I went with warmer and sunnier than normal. It is a clear case of wishful thinking. I do a 4 mile power walk every day and last winter was a challenge I don't want to repeat. I don't mind the cold, but the snowbanks make walking the roads a little dangerous.

What does the guy with the bear fat in jars say about the weather? I remeber a story from years ago about a guy that had jars of bear fat and he acurately predicted the weather with them. Better than the weatherman did too.

I suspect it's going to be cold with little snow as we've had lots of rain this fall. I voted for colder and snowier than normal but don't know if that will happen.
