Looks a bit wet in the Keys.
This one is going directly to thread since according to radar it's already dropped around 10" of rain in the Keys. It's currently heading NNE towards Fla..

Bottom line it's going to be a messy day in all of South Fla.

While they still haven't decided what this actually is, it looks to be giving South Florida a really messy day.
Hurricane hunter aircraft went into the storm earlier but found no center of circulation. To me it's looking like they investigated the area of heavy convection, but missed the center of circulation which from satellite images is far displaced from the main area of the storm.

There is a definite center of circulation located just off the North coast of the Yucatan at 89.1W 21.5N. It's exposed and was not easily visible earlier in the day. Most of the convection and heavy storms are sheared off back to the NE impacting Florida and Cuba.
As of now the southern Keys are getting a break, while North of Marathon is getting heavy rain. Looks like another band of Showers are heading for the southern keys in the next few hours.

Yup enough rain but pretty minor wind.

First time my street this far up, and yard flooded since the 4 hurricane 2005 Wilma season. Haven't checked stats but likely peak rain at high tide and little actually soil ground (few ft at most then ancient dead reef limestone) in the Keys already fully saturated from couple of days of rain already, so low areas just piled up, until the rain slacked and tide went out..

But now its N FL's problem then GA and Carrolinas.

This Morning, it'll be SW Florida getting really wet. Don't really see any rotation this morning, looks like for now at least this is just a non tropical storm system. The rotation at the Yucatan fell apart over night. I don't think another one can form before the main part of this gets over Florida.

Tonight we had a couple brief last stray remnants.

But sky is finally clear after 4 days.
Sunday night to mid Monday we had 8" of rain. Airport was shut down due to runway flooding as well as the storm cells.

Friend that was supposed to fly out Monday is finally getting out today (Wed)
