The modem will now reboot and should be in bridged mode.
I understand getting into the modem initially might need a reset I just wish Motorola hand clear instrucions on turning the SBG6580 into just a Modem. I am thinking it should be simple to bridge so I like #2 but I am not sure about ether.
The easiest method is to set the feature "RG Passthrough." It configures everything needed to "bridge the device. You may still want to disable wireless though.
