DSL Options - Woodbury CT

I have about had it with Charter. I get 18k down 1k up...when it the connection isn't down :-(

Does AT+T have something comparable, or DSL really limited to slow speeds still?

IF you can get AT&T UVerse AND you are very very CLOSE to the VRAD you could get 24 Mbps down/3 Mbps up.

IF you can get UVerse AND you are very very FAR from the VRAD you could get about 0.75 Mbps down/ 0.38 Mbps up.

Regular AT&T DSL has a maximum speed of 6 Mbps down/0.5 Mbps up. This depends on the distance you are from the central office or DSLAM. The farther away, the slower the maximum data rate.

Go to the AT&T website and input your exact address to see what you might be able to get

The ATT website is worthless.. I have 6MB DSL and the ATT website says I can't even get DSL here.. You really need a call them and request a tech come out and see what the RT's look like.. Even that does not always work.. I'm on a RT that is like 3k feet from my house. There is an RT prob about 300 ft from my house that I've had a tech tell me only has about 50 out of 500 available slots used.. and they wont' move me into it. They keep me on the old RT.. They will also try to put you on a hub in the RT that will be shared.. they put me on a shared T1 fed switch.. so at night I would see speeds crawl.. I fought and fought and forced them to put me from the PG to a DPG and I've been good since. They just don't want to do it..
