Port forward problem with 327W and IPCAM with Verizon

I've spent hours trying to forward ports to my IPCAM. After following the instructions on both cam and router as well as portforward.com. The cam is set to static IP and port 8090 (have tried others as well). I can access the camera directly by typing its IP:8090 into IE. I set the port rules in the router TCP,HOST ports 8090. Assigned serivce rule to the IPCAM IP. Put firewall to low. I cannot access the camera from outside my router (external IP:8090). I tried PF's port tool, it says it can ping my router but the port is closed?? Any ideas? Doesn't really seem that complicated....I must be missing something simple. Thanks.
Using Verizon DSL.

Are you using a different internet connection to access the camera

Go to www.portforward.com. They sell a tool pfconfig which should help. They are also very patient & friendly. I believe they are in Germany. Recommended.

Yes, thanks. Use their port checker tool and forum....

Well I got it working today by using port 8080 instead of 8090 and by letting the router assign the CAM IP and using/forwarding ports 8080, 8081,8082. I did this for 3 cameras no problem...course when I turn off the cameras I lose the IP's. So I changed back to static IP's on the cameras but now only one port will forward the other 2 closed. All three cameras work inside my network either together or separately by calling its individual IP & port. But only port 8082 will open allowing outside access. Well at least its progress...

Turns out the portforward wasn't working due to another setting...ADSL. Turned it off and was good to go.
