Yes, SipBri has been down for me for at least 4 hours. My Asterisk is reporting "UNREACHABLE" although I can ping sip2.remacservices.net.

SipBri is STILL down right now.

I'm done with it, I don't have time to waste on such nonsense.

(To the tune of "American Pie"):

So bye-bye, to the Sip B-R-I
Hooked my Gigaset to the Net
But the Net it was dry.

And good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that it died.
"this’ll be the day that it died."

@el_easy, if you are asking for the PAP2T setup for SipBri, I don't use my PAP2T with SipBri so I can't directly answer your question. Maybe @williamray507 can, as that seems to be how he is using the service. But, in general, after you have plugged your GV credentials into SipBri from their site, you have to obtain from that site the very obtuse username and password that they assign, and then load that info into your PAP2T the same way you would with any other provider.

I think that dialtone is generated by the PAP2T; you'll hear it even if it is not registered to a provider (I think)?

The Register expires no, but the make call with out reg i would change to no, that way if your not registered it wont even try to make a call but i cant confirm otherwise. As far as voice quality no that would not make any difference.

With apologies to Katy Perry and to Elmo.

You’re up and you're down
You’re running around
You’re fast and you're slow
You’re stop and you're go
You’re hot and you're cold
You’re yes then you're no
You’re in and you're out
I’m starting to doubt
You don’t really wanna play, no
You just really wanna go, go.

That was when Katy Perry sang with Elmo on Sesame Street, but because some people felt that her dress was too low cut on top and too short at the bottom, there was a little controversy.

Sesame Street pulled it---people really were milking the story---but here it is with video:

I will not touch them not even with a 10ft poll. I wish I could delete my account from their system.

I won't need any poll to touch.

No one had ever thought about this before. I guess your best choice is to delete your GV account from SipBRI.

Here is another quirk about SipBRI that I inquired before in this forum sans an answer: How to change the WEB login and/or SIP password of a SipBRI account! One would have probably thought about to offer such an option before launching out a service, but not SiPBRI!

I actually sent 2 emails to their "support" about both of those password issues. I heard nothing at all the first time. The second time I did get an auto-reply ("we got your email; we'll be back to you soon"), but they never did get back to me.

So, I see no way to change web PW; no way to delete or change assigned SIP PW; and no way to delete account...

SipBri website says "You can cancel account at any time."

Although their website doesn't allow me to log in---that MIGHT be my own fault, although I believe that I am using the right credentials....

True, but I see no way to do that on the website (it may be there and I just missed it). And as there is currently no support -- if they never read or respond to emails, or activate the chat support, or participate in this thread like used to be the case -- how is one supposed to be able to actually accomplish a cancellation?

I like SipBri in concept. At times it has worked very well. I'd like it to succeed. If it starts working again for more than a day or so at a time I'll do so. Until then I'll just tinker with it until I get bored and more on.
