The Radio Beacon.
I'll usually start off a game with my Recon Class and set up a Beacon in a good spot, and set up a T-UGS at the most likely enemy approach to the Beacon. Then you and your squad can spawn on the Beacon and know if there are enemies nearby. You also get a spot bonus if an enemy is killed because of your T-UGS.
And they both stay in the game until found and destroyed by the enemy.

I think you get a 10,000 point bonus any time you get a medal, it really helps to unlock new stuff.

Yeah, the MAV helps a lot in knowing where the enemy is and where he's going. I'm surprised players don't use it more often.

The T-UGS is helpful too, especially for choke points, but it's more easily detected and destroyed.

the weapons in the beta felt perfect. they felt powerful and when you got the drop
on someone, you could actually KILL THEM! they nerfed the weapons since so
many bitched about it. now they all feel worthless and weak like all other shooters
this gives the game a huge frustration to fun ratio for me.

i gave up on weak ass small arms and stick to tanks now. mostly taking down
annoying spawn camping choppers via 3rd seat.

rush is a rape fest. death match spawning (as others mentioned) sucks.
conquest (CQ) is the only mode i'll play.

oh and what's with the 1.5GB update on the very same disk i just installed to the HD!?
then a 2GB update on top of that. WTF EA WTF?

I got my internet back fully I think Im going to go grab this next Friday however I'm sure most people have stopped playing?

Only thing is I need a hard drive for it :|

not enough drive space to install and hard drives are not cheap.. I want at least 2TB

There was a post somewhere online saying that it's better to only install the HD texture pack, and not the game itself because it works the HDD too much....I deleted the game and just kept the HD pack and it seems like it looks better and loads the terrain and objects faster. YMMV

No, the saved file is its own item, just don't delete it.

I still play it. Funds are tight so the chances of me getting a new game to pull my attention off of this are slim to none.
I guess you could say I just keep re-enlisting...damn it.
