[Other] spbri changes?

So today I went to make a call using my sipbri account and I am unable to.
I have not make any changes to my conf files....

My logs are going crazy with:

Oct 26 11:17:51 pbx local0.warn asterisk[2519]: WARNING[2552]: chan_sip.c:8740 in process_sdp: Unsupported SDP media type in offer: audio 0 RTP/AVP 0 101
Oct 26 11:17:51 pbx local0.warn asterisk[2519]: WARNING[2552]: chan_sip.c:8827 in process_sdp: Failing due to no acceptable offer found
Oct 26 11:18:01 pbx local0.warn asterisk[2519]: WARNING[2552]: chan_sip.c:8740 in process_sdp: Unsupported SDP media type in offer: audio 0 RTP/AVP 0 101
Oct 26 11:18:01 pbx local0.warn asterisk[2519]: WARNING[2552]: chan_sip.c:8827 in process_sdp: Failing due to no acceptable offer found

Any ideas?

Did sipbri change something since there last downtime?

How is this different from yesterday's downtime, or the day before that?

This is like the girl who wouldn't kiss me goodnight on the 4th date. There's a message there.

(AFAIK she's now in her 50's and still single).

SIP BRI support ALWAYS seems offline----it is the middle of the day (even in Chicago) yet the support is offline.

People who paid money to them (for an ATA for example) must be disgruntled.

I'm not seeing that in my Asterisk logs at all, and my SipBri connection is currently working just fine.

Did you try to call?
I'm afraid I've got one-way audio with mine. I don't hear a thing. I don't know if the other party hears me.

I spoke too soon. My SipBri is currently showing as registered, but when i make a call:

1. It rings once
2. It gets put on local hold for a second
3. It cuts through to silence.

I am glad that I never spend any dime on SipBRi, except to use its FREE service.

Now, if you place an outbound call, the destination phone will ring while you will get a single ring tone (courtesy of FS ring_ready option) followed by a busy signal.

Perhaps they are working on something.

Prompted by this thread, I just tried using the SipBri account that is registered to my PBXes account, while watching the PBXes status board. The extension was routed to the SipBri trunk and I HEARD RINGING on the calling end. The call quickly rang through to the called end. I didn't pick up, so I couldn't check audio.

Attempt No 2: called a Sipgate number connected to my asterisk box. Failed

Attempt No 3: called the same Sipgate number connected to my asterisk box. The extension was routed to the SipBri trunk and I HEARD RINGING on the calling end. The call quickly rang through to the called end. I did pick up this time. No audio in either direction.

Attempt No 4: same result as #3. No audio at all.

Yep. And on my end, they're still doing that weird thing that puts my end of the connection onto my local Asterisk hold for a few seconds, so I hear my own music on hold when I call out via SipBri. Then it cuts through to silence.

The SipBri guy used to monitor here. I wonder if they're away on vacation...?

Must be a long ass vacation because there tech support has been offline since God knows when.... I sent them an email to see if that helps any though I know it wont get me knowhere... sipbri if you are out there I just want you to know that your service even though is beta and free is plain horrendous! starting with your lack of customer attention to unstable services that get no attention from you. I have tried beta services before and by far none have been as bad as yours.

-100 for sipbri.

Perhaps, you will need to read this post. Sounded like Arek is DaMan!

Even Google Voice is still in a beta test and isn't like this.

Compared to GV, GV can take them for a walk in the park...

I left a review about sipbri... its sitting on the queue waiting for approval since is an "unknown" company.... Its is only fare to warn others about this issues since they do sell equipment for their service.

Please make sure your GV account says "online" on account page. We had to temporarily disable bunch of GV account that were for some reason wrong/miss-configured and were crashing our servers.

******************

If there was any misconfiguration, it was at their end, not mine.

IMHO, I don't think there is a scam at play here. Perhaps just a small operation with bad grammar and poor web skills, in over its head.
******************
Edit: I just went to my SipBri account and it claims that I am online. I went to my PBXes account, erased and reloaded the SipBri credentials, and resubmitted everything. Nope, no registration.

My caveats: I understand this is free. I'm just tinkering. If it works, I use it if it doesn't, I don't. This is a throw-away GV account with one-off names and passwords. If it gets hijacked or compromised, oh well, not a problem. It's a hobby...

Is it coincidence?

I have this post going and suddenly they start updating every Social Network page they own.
