4 edits | Speed increases coming later this year.....Reynoldsburg, OH I called into Insight today to schedule my disconnect as I'm switching back to WOW but wanted to pass on a little bit of info for those that can't get some of WOWs 30 meg and 50 meg love. 
The gentleman I spoke to said that Insight (soon to be TWC) was going to be announcing newer speeds later this year (better hurry since the year is almost over). He said people on 15/1 will get a free bump to 30 meg down and a 50 meg package will be available as well. I highly doubt Insight will bump people from 15/1 to 30 megs for free! In all my experience with Insight, they LOVE price gouging and don't give ANYTHING away for free. To be fair to Insight though, my past year with them has been perfectly fine. No internet problems and HD quality was superb. What drove me away was their annual price rate hike of $18 in my case. $18 for no new services or faster speeds. They did it out of pure greed so now, they're getting $0/mo from me.
I will give the CSR I spoke to credit, he tried to keep me by lowering my bill a few dollars but couldn't do nothing for increasing my speed (which is the ONLY thing I care about......speed!!!!!).

Columbus OH doesn't have the same 'tiers' of 10/20/30/50 that other Insight areas have.. Columbus has always "leased" the Road Runner branding from Time Warner locally and offered in recent a 7.0 and 15.0 speeds (15.0 being called RR Turbo) |

| And it seems that near blendon woods, everyone and their mother has turbo, to stream Netflix as during prime time the speed drops below RR Standard. And yes I've had numerous tech's out to check things. |

Since TWC finally bought the Insight pocket here in Columbus, OH, I'm sure faster speeds are on the horizon but I'd be curious to see what the price will be for 30 meg service. Insight was NOT a good company when it came to negotiating fee increases and didn't seem to give to sh*ts about losing me to a competitor. |

| Thats not 100% done yet, by March yes it will be TWC, but for now their website says nothing about it. |
