Why do these turkeys always install new software like Bonjour and other startup tasks which most sensible people don't want? |

Not to mention other iTunes start-up and Service items: FWIW those only load if you have iTunes. QT can be a standalone installation (although I prefer VLC if iTunes isn't around). |

Understood, those are an actual capture from an HJT Log on my machine since I run an iPadUnrelated to thread but to satisfy the curiosity some may have a recent iTunes release yielded these findings: » Re: [SU] iTunes 10.5 Is Out |

HKLM:Run APSDaemon "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\APSDaemon.exe"
was added to my Win7 QT standalone installation...and then disabled by me.
This was the first time I have seen this startup on my system. I have always routinely disabled the QTTask startup file.

HKLM\..\Run: [APSDaemon] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\APSDaemon.exe I left alone since disabled it was causing MBAM to terminate unexpectedly. This is particular to my software | hardware scenario although it is deemed user choice, I've chosen to leave all Apple services and startups as-is |
