Re: COX Fairfax, VA: The worst ISP in the nation? Check Cox's site to see when you'll be upgraded. It looks like Burke will be the last area to be upgraded along with my area (Springfield). Who knows when exactly they'll upgrade a persons area. I've called twice and neither person would give me a straight answer.

| Loved that link to Cox's site. Looks like I'm in the phase 4 area, too bad for cox that I now have Direct TV and verizon DSL, better Television for the fam, and my DSL at 768/128 out performs Cox's cable 9 times out of 10.

Check Earthlink DSL -- I know they offer service in the area also, you may be able to get that if you want. |

Check Earthlink DSL -- I know they offer service in the area also, you may be able to get that if you want.
I tried long time ago. Covad canceled my order:My loop length was found 18,500 feet.
Before I bought this conde, I checked the distance. It was 13,000 feet only. So I bought this condo. When I actually placed the order through Speakeasy.net and after I waited for a few weeks, I got an email from Speakeasy.net saying my order had been canceled by Covad. Covad said that Verizon didn't want to install the line because the length is actually 18,500 feet and they don't do the installation of lines for more than 18,000 feet.
I got shocked at that time. I had to go for COX. That's where all this connection, latency, packet loss problem started.
I'm planning to move out but I'll give COX a try one last time till the end of June. |

| I guess you don't understand that you live in Georgia and we live in Virgina. Just because we are both Cox doesn't mean we both have good service. Our NOVA cox hsi network gets pretty screwy. |

i undersatnd what you are saying but it's is up to you as am customer to get the problem fixed like i did.Has cox checked out your line's and the amp's in your area?cox said it was on my end that's why i had no internet i told them no it's you and had them check every inch of the drop.even believe this cox did not want to i demanded it.and the problem was just like i said it was a(TAP)that was hit by lightening now i get the great ping's and all by the way that (LINE QUALITY)was done while i was playing quake3!!!:) |
