| reply to Teddy Boom Here we go again. I wonder if the big ups in teksavvy realize that offering this type of deal is basically insulting to customers who dont buy from Canada Computers or simply do not wish to use the questionable Thompson line of Cable modems.
Also contradicts the underlying reason of the "pass through" fees for activations. Who is eating the $65 when someone buys a kit and activates?
There is some serious logic flaws going on these days..... |

Once CC starts listing stuff as in stock like it's showing for the Extreme kits it's very likely that kits are already available for sale on their store shelves. |

For the record, I just called Canada Computers in downtown Toronto, and they do not have any on the shelves at the moment. Further, the guy there pointed out that the inventory item only comes up through the direct link, you can't actually find it by browsing or searching on the Canada Computers site. Probably some database error..
However, he also said that he thought the new revision of the kit was coming very soon. Like, the warehouse may have gotten a delivery, or something.
Teksavvy better stay on top of this! It could turn into a disaster.. As it is, somebody at Teksavvy probably should have placed that call instead of me (edit: And maybe they did, but that should have been reported here!) |

| (New User with teksavvy here): Well I dunno when this (Kit-Promo)ended ?, but I had to run to Ottawa(Rideau Street) Canada Computers today, and grab my DCM475, becuase somehow, by some strange twist of fate, Xpresspost(Canada POST), had my Cable modem yesterday(from TSI), but said thet they couldn't find my Address ?, and promptly sent it back to TSI(Chatham) ???!!! But anyway, Canada Computers said there is NO MORE Promo for purchasing this ? I called back TSI, to give them the MAC addr, of the new modem I purchased, and TSI also said - NO promo anymore. ?
Anyway, this ain't starting out so well, so far. Yikes! -I just hope that the Rogers' clown still shows up, for my hook-up, as they're supposed to on the date TSI, and I agreed on. ?
BTW: Canada Post(Xpresspost) are a bunch of moronic idiots, especially the Depot here in Vanier(Ottawa) ! |

 | reply to TSI Martin I'm getting rather impatient waiting for these kits to come back. I've been trying to switch from Rogers since the middle of January but haven't been able to have my order fulfilled. Luckily, I've only received a confirmation of the order and haven't been charged yet otherwise I might have to use my unhappy voice. |

TSI MartinEscalations - Social MediaPremium join:2006-02-23 Chatham, ON kudos:11 | So you had purchased a kit from Canada computers, but you never received it? If you simply purchased a modem then the order shouldn't be delayed. If you would like to PM TSI Martin your details or post in the » TekSavvy Direct forum. We'll take a look at the order.

| said by side1021:no stop sell on these kit? I called in to ask for availability. And I was told Teksavvy stopped selling in my area. Current Stop Sell areas can be found here »Stop Sell Update (JAN 9th 2012).
The Canada Computer kits are not affected by the stop sell but if you activate one in an area under a stop sell you are just adding to the congestion and will most likely complain about the slow speed that you would be getting.
The kits have currently been pulled from the shelves since the February 2, 2012 price changes. |

 | reply to TSI Martin I asked a similar question in Teksavvy Direct. This is the answer I got.
Can I still use this kit if my area is now been tagged as "stopsell"?
If you are listed as a stop sell area we cannot open up new service.
So I guess you are SOL if you bought the kit and then found out your area is tagged with "stopsell". Not liking this at all. Basically Teksavvy is leaving customers out to dry. |
